Our doors open on Avenida F.D. Roosevelt in San Juan, and our work reaches far past them. Every week, our staff and volunteers meet people at the hardest point of their lives — a family evicted after a storm, a young man leaving treatment with nowhere to sleep, a grandmother stretching a fixed income across too many mouths. We answer with a bed, a warm plate, and a person who stays.
From there the real work begins: documents recovered, appointments kept, skills practiced, and a paintbrush placed in a hand that has not made anything beautiful in years. We measure success not by how many people pass through our doors, but by how many walk out steady, housed, and connected to their own community.
